Fox Unveils Baseball Schedule
World Champion Yankees To Appear Maximum Nine Times

By Randy Williams

Fox unveiled its 1999 Major League Baseball schedule and the world champion New York Yankees will be televised the maximum nine times.

The network's televised coverage kicks off Saturday June 5 with four interleague games, including a visit by the Mets to Yankee Stadium. Also on that date, Fox will show the Cubs at Cleveland, Anaheim at Los Angeles and Oakland at San Francisco. The network's coverage is scheduled to conclude Sept. 25.

The top announcing team at Fox, which televised the 1998 World Series, is the duo of Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Bob Brenly joined them in the booth to cover the Yankees-Padres series.
