CBS's
NFL Insider Talks With AQB
By
Randy Williams
NEW
YORK (AQB)--Jay Glazer is the guy football fans don't see but, thanks
to Armchair on the Air, AQB's Internet radio program, listeners
can hear him discuss life as an NFL information man.
Glazer
feeds tidbits to Jim Nantz, Randy Cross, Craig James and Jerry Glanville
on the set of the network's NFL Today program, which airs
from 12-1 p.m. ET on Sundays throughout the season. He also provides
the inside information that scrolls along the bottom of the screen
during the pregame show.
In
his chat with AQB, Glazer offered the following tidbits,
among others:
- Coaches Bill
Parcells (Jets) and Bruce Coslet (Bengals) won't return
next season and the latter is likely to lose his job if his team
loses to the new Cleveland Browns. Giants coach Jim Fassel is
also on the hot seat.
- Instant replay
"could be a long shot to return next season," because
key people, such as Colts owner Jim Irsay and GM Bill Polian have
been hurt by the rule this season.
- Seattle's
holdout wide receiver, Joey Galloway, is likely to be traded on
draft day.
